Pros

- Amazing team that is kind, collaborative, and supportive - Wonderful bosses who are thoughtful, care about you as a person, and trust you/give you the freedom and space to do your job - Flexible, non-rigid workplace culture - Truly competitive benefits (i.e. covered health insurance, which I had never experienced until coming to UKG + unlimited PTO). U Choose is also great; it offers $350 a quarter to be used on the things that are important/relevant to you personally (i.e. exercise classes that support your wellbeing). This is essentially extra money, which is always helpful and appreciated! - Plethora of workplace and volunteer event offerings that foster camaraderie beyond your immediate team - Numerous opportunities to connect and feel sense of belonging through employee resource groups - Strong employee recognition culture, which I have experienced first-hand since starting my journey at UKG - First company I work for where the leaders actually take the time to share the results of employee feedback surveys and ways they plan to tackle areas in need of improvement. This level of transparency and commitment to not only listening but also responding to employees is rare.

Cons

- As with most companies, the company culture experience can vary depending on what department/leader you work under. While mine is great, there are some folks in other departments who have a different work experience. - Hoteling concept for in-office days is not ideal when you have numerous and sometimes sensitive calls throughout the day, but this is part of the new normal post-Covid in many, if not most, organizations.

Pros

UKG offers one of the better benefits packages I’ve experienced. The healthcare options are competitive, the 401(k) match is strong, and the family leave benefits are excellent. The company also promotes flexible PTO, which is appealing on paper and can be beneficial depending on your team and manager. Overall, the compensation and benefits package is a major strength.

Cons

While UKG offers attractive benefits, the day-to-day work environment can be challenging. In my experience, the culture among peers was often toxic, and leadership was not always supportive when concerns were raised. The company promotes flexible PTO, but in practice it felt heavily managed, with little to no ability to take time off between Thanksgiving and mid-January. Compensation also lacked consistency. Employees performing the same role with similar responsibilities could have significantly different pay, creating frustration and concerns about fairness. Career growth was another challenge. There was no clearly defined career progression roadmap, making it difficult to understand what was required for advancement. Many employees should expect to remain in the same position for an extended period unless opportunities happened to open up. Finally, the company experiences frequent organizational changes and shifting priorities. The venture capital ownership contributes to a fast-paced environment where restructures and changing initiatives are common, making it difficult to maintain stability and long-term direction.
