Great people, but no staff - Registered Nurse UNC Health Employee Review

So short staffed, the ratios are so bad and management doesn't care enough to hire more or give more incentive pay because of the budget. It is understandable that there is a budget but when you have a whole floor of RNs quitting and Travelers quitting the and only solution you choose is to flex up the ratios, it stresses the RNs who decided to stay. There is no work life balance, we are expected to pick up standby shifts, and by the time you recover from the work week, your days off are already over. In the long run that will cost more than simply keeping the double CNP and paying people what they deserve.
