Pros
Computerized self scheduling gives great flexibility and allows you work around your family life and schedule. Teaching hospital is a wonderful environment to learn in. Staff is helpful and supportive. Diverse patient population. Evidence based practice used widely throughout the hospital. Efforts are made to stay up to date on best practices, policies, and trends to promote best outcomes for patients and safest envrionment for workers.
Cons
A little too micromanaged. Inconsistent pay raises, and no recognition or incentive for seniority or longevity with the company. New grads being hired in at always increasing competitve pay, but no compensation or change in pay scale for those already working there. Rumor is, you have to quit and get rehired for your experience to be compensated for and that just isn't the right way to do things.
