Depending on unit management, the unit you work on can be positive
Cons
Upper managment does not care about a single person below them. The company cares about meeting quotas even if that means nurses are overworked and have too many patients. If an issue is brought to their attention, they ask what the nurse could have done differently and does not take into consideration that it is a system failure, not an individual nurse failure. The benefits are expensive and are minimal. They make you climb a career ladder and jump through hoops to get a small raise. In the end, they will replace you in a heartbeat but expect all employees to bend over backwards daily.
