Pros
Experience at a large company is a great resume builder. Beyond that, I don't have a lot of great things to say. My experience was probably better than some, but it really depends on your department and manager.
Cons
The company is very compartmentalized. The communication and respect between departments are horrible. It is unlikely you will ever get the feeling of being an appreciated employee or that your contributions are meaningful. All the cliche things that are said about working for large corporations is true about UPMC.
