Pros
Several choices in shifts and positions. Fantastic benefits thanks to UPS and Union cooperating for the benefit/good of the employees. Part-timers get full insurance benefits and perks. Wasn't a Union person but finally joined. Union does so much good in protecting workers rights, ensuring good benefits and pay. It is not a boring job. Most supervisors are great, try to be helpful, "hands-on" when needed. Keeps you in good shape - get a real life workout everyday - and get paid to do it.
Cons
It could be a con depending on what kind of person you are: This is not a "watch a company training film and do it" type of job. It is a "sink or swim" type of job. It is a hard, fast-paced job. It is really hot in the summer and cold in the winter. WHINERS & SLACKERS NEED NOT APPLY - please don't apply! You have to be a team player! Need excellent work ethic.
