      Pros

      The Air Force has excellent people. Most everyone is dedicated to the mission and focused on getting results. Even being in a career with few base options (some in the middle of nowhere), I found that the people around me made all the difference. I love the mission, saving lives, training people how to save lives. It's been a wonderful experience.

      Cons

      Just as in every career, some people focus too much on what gets them promoted instead of whats best for the mission. My job involved shift work, which took even more time away for family.

      Pros

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Cons

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
