      You get to travel, lots of different possible careers and lots of training that can be used elsewhere with great benefits.

      Cons

      You have little say in where you go or what you do. You can be in a career that has you away from family most of the year. Your progression is assured but your career has a ceiling and some are lower than others. But you can leave after you serve your commitment.
