      Pros

      Extremely competitive pay and benefits. Promotion system is easy to understand and mostly fair. Plenty of travel opportunities. Free education.

      Cons

      Shift work may be mandatory depending on job and location. Involuntary travel sometimes mandatory. Some locations less than desirable. MUCH LESS focused now on caring for employees then 10 years ago.

      Will pay for you to go through college.

      Cons

      Good luck doing college while being worked 12-15 hours a day at your home-station. 6 to 7 days a week when deployed.
