Pros
I like the structure of the organization with the need to be flexible. Even though the job may sound routine, that routine will be broken at any time do to mission requirement or other external forces.
Cons
The politics can drive a person crazy. The active duty side can become passive of duties and responsibilities that they will attempt to isolate the civilian force from some decision making in order to consolidate authority.
