      Retirement/Health/Education benefits are excellent Lots of travel opportunities Established promotion cycles Base pay not great starting off, but other allowances and benefits, combined with promotions make it a very good lifestyle 30 days vacations every year starting your 1st year.

      Cons

      24/7 responsibilities many jobs require shift work Moving yourself and family every 3-4 years (for some, that is a Pro) Incurs a service commitment (you can't just 'quit' if you don't like it)
