Pros

Military benefits - Healthcare, Dental, VA Loan, GI Bill Consistent paycheck Basic Housing Allowance - if you have dependents or your unit grants you BAH Career opportunities for MOS-related schools (unit dependent if theyll send you) 4 day weekends for federal holidays 10% off certain chick-fil-A and Canes locations

Cons

Stagnant pay unless you are fortunate enough to do lots of TDYs or rank up quickly Irregular hours for random details, change of command, staff duty, etc. Toxic leadership but that is highly dependent on your unit You are looked at as a rank and that determines how much a person will respect you initially

Pros

The Pros to being a 92Y is that you may work alone and have an office to yourself, along with creating your own schedule by that i mean tasks. You dont have someone breathing down your neck unless you screw up or cannot meet deadlines. You have the ability to be stationed anywhere around the world, i was stationed in the US and Europe there are several oportunities and specific units you can support. After having 9 years of experience I think ive learned a lot and met great people.

Cons

You will be alone sometimes you wont have a mentor or subordinate when you become a supervisor or "supply sergeant", you will get micromanaged if you are not on top of things. People will think you dont do anything, you'll deal with a lot of officers who think they know more than you.
