Stable job, consistent yearly pay raises, plenty of benefits ranging from mediocre to okay-ish
Cons
Many of the positions offered do not match the pay or quality of life of similar positions elsewhere, innovation is not rewarded, long periods of playing "pretend" out in the wilderness for reasons that make absolutely no sense, leadership mentalities range from "severely outdated" to "outright toxic", career progression is often INTENTIONALLY stifled by decision makers at the top of the ladder just to make overall numbers look good, extremely poor work/life balance, you may be required to spend a lot of time away from family, and choosing to take care of real life personal, health, financial or family issues over your job is considered an act of treason.
