If you are in a less-than ideally funded program, management will hire bottom-of-the-barrel or right-out-of-college "professionals" you get the pleasure of frustratingly train and retrain and conduct quality checks on instead of doing your actual job. Also, career growth is very limited because there are so few higher-paid positions and avenues to attain those positions.
