Pros
I wish I could think of one. Maybe if they had jumped onto and effectively promoted their online presence much earlier than they did they wouldn't be bleeding from a thousand cuts. Good people on the editorial side.
Cons
I can only give feedback on my time in mid-size markets in the Mid-Atlantic, but if you like working for what I assume were decent salespeople who have been promoted into a level of incompetency (i.e. sales managers,) being forced into unproductivity with needless "sales and goal meetings," no training, descending account lists, print products and packages no one would be interested in unless you're in that rare market where broadcast doesn't dominate, unrealsitic sales budgets, horrible morale, and bad marketing, etc., then Gannett is the company for you.
