Pros

I can't think of one pro other then I loved a couple of people I worked with, and we all collaboratively hated our job.

Cons

Awful pay. The poor people that have worked here for 20 plus years, I have no idea why they are still here. They can go down the street and get a 50%+ increase in their pay. The benefits, especially being such a large company were horrific- expensive and covered nothing. The management was TERRIBLE. The is the understatement of the year. The person who ran the office was a sexist pig that spoke to everyone (which was women) like dogs. There was so many times people would run out of his office crying. The female "manager" was not any better with bipolar tendencies- you never knew which was the wind was going to blow- honestly I dreaded walking into work everyday in fear of being yelled or degraded for no reason. Very very hostile working environment. I understand newspapers are loosing their appeal... The circulation was astronomically low. They tried to get us to sell digital products that were astronomically priced with little benefit to the client. Email blasts, a joke- anyone that paid over $1000 for an email blast thought it was the biggest waste of money. Websites... A joke. PPC campaigns and SEO were done by GO team in Arizona or somewhere and have NO IDEA what they are doing. These were not products I felt comfortable selling- because they were awful!!!!! The customers would look at me like I was crazy because let's be honest only someone who is crazy would pay those prices for pretty much nothing in return. My 7 year old daughter can do better online campaigns then this "GO" team. Worst company ever.

Pros

Career growth through working with a team that is about success - clients and your own!

Cons

No water-cooler chats because of being remote, but this isn't really a con.

Pros

A company that I believe genuinely cares about its employees as much as their clients. Great work/life balance, decent pay, great culture, welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Cons

Trying to "fix" too many things at one time can lead to inconsistency and feelings of being overwhelmed at all levels. There is a lot of great intent and plans to continue to grow the company and make things better overall, however, sometimes it felt a lot like "pulling at straws" approach where upper leadership would try something impulsively, and not stick to it long enough to see if it could truly make an impact, and many times certain approaches contradicted a previous one for a different area of opportunity. However, it's important to note, that through many moving parts, there was always support offered, and a "safe space" to provide feedback at even entry level roles.
