Pros

Mission driven organization that serves the military and their families.

Cons

Benefits have been drastically cut back in the last few years despite years of record profit. The organization is in a cultural downward spiral, unnecessarily, for the past 4 years. Our executive management have to apply to their roles each year, which creates a toxic environment that has a trickle down effect. In 16 years as a professional, this is the most toxic and chaotic culture I've seen. There are heavy layers of bureaucracy which requires a significant amount of work to get the simplest tasks accomplished. Don't say that I didn't warn you if you think this review is a one off. Simply look at the overall rating and rating of the CEO. I've lost count of how many 10+ tenured leaders and employees have left the company over the past year or so.

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
