Pros
Office life and amenities were great until Covid shut that down. Most people were friendly in office yet once forced WFH people became rude and cold. PTO bank was good if you made sure to pay for extra amounts, the catch is you will have to book far in advance due to “staffing.”
Cons
Management is very hit or miss. It’s almost as if they pick from a hat. Development is a joke unless you lick the boss’s feet. A company that was once great is falling apart and loosing tons of business based on unnecessary decisions. I use to be proud working for USAA until they changed 180 on their processes. In regards to the job itself as insurance sales, what use to be do all you can for the member and get the sale turned into “follow this script or get written up!” Compliance is the only thing on their mind now a days and it’s sad for the employees and the members. There is ZERO commission so if you sell 10 products, you get the same pay as someone who hasn’t sold in days. If you truly want to sell insurance, make good commission based on your hard work, and build relationships with members, stay away!!
