Pros
USAA provides excellent benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, ltd, and 2x base pay life insurance), has career progression, and still provides tuition reimbursement, unlike many companies today. Service is driven to maximize product opportunities and deepen the product relationship. As long as you can sell, you will do well. Although this is not a structured sales environment and committed to service, every call should have an opportunity to increase products per household. USAA operates a very strict callcenter environment, adherence and average handle time are meticulously managed.
Cons
Progression may be limited. Unfortunately, if you are very productive and successful in your position, management may curtail opportunties for progression. Sometimes, those that perform marginally least have the most opportunties. Additionally, the company is very structured, similiar to the military, and provides a restrictive work environment. Additionally, schedules do not always offer flexibility and time off is handled by seniority.
