Pros

Nothing good to say. All the perks they do give you. You have to work for. You want a cheaper insurance rate you better complete their program. You want half day fridays during summers you better work the extra hours during the week. Its all about what you can do for them and anything extra "may" come with something in return.

Cons

This company has been a nightmare. I came from a bigger company in the retirement industry to usi. The difference is insane. I was just used to an environment where the employees needs were always put first. Here, they dont care about the employees at all, just what you can do for them. They micro manage you so much just to make sure you are putting in enough work even if its not part of your desk. There is no clear structure. When something goes wrong they will blame you. They are working so hard to keep up with competitors that all the pressure falls on employees. Changes as a company need to be made. I thought I was in an industry where I produce great work when needed based on my abilities and not in a dog eat dog world where I have to prove I can do more work, that I have to fetch, than the next. I dont have a problem working hard but if I knew I would be worked like a slave, micro managed and blamed I would not have joined USI.

Pros

not many besides the PTO you receive

Cons

I have worked here for almost 5 years, have only received a total increase of just about $2.50 over these 5 years. No one can live on this!!!! Driving in using our gas and wear & tear on our cars while others who live 10 min away are WFH 5 days a week! Staff make their own schedules/hours without getting approval - not fair what they let some do and not others. No one can live on what they pay here, manager's do nothing to support you only give you attitude. Never any department perks like hey, let's get our staff pizza once in a while! Nothing! more work, learn more, do more, train new ee's over &over again cause they all leave after 3 months for same pay and then get told no raise this year for you cause the company did bad overall! get your stuff together USI!!!
