Pros
Nothing good to say. All the perks they do give you. You have to work for. You want a cheaper insurance rate you better complete their program. You want half day fridays during summers you better work the extra hours during the week. Its all about what you can do for them and anything extra "may" come with something in return.
Cons
This company has been a nightmare. I came from a bigger company in the retirement industry to usi. The difference is insane. I was just used to an environment where the employees needs were always put first. Here, they dont care about the employees at all, just what you can do for them. They micro manage you so much just to make sure you are putting in enough work even if its not part of your desk. There is no clear structure. When something goes wrong they will blame you. They are working so hard to keep up with competitors that all the pressure falls on employees. Changes as a company need to be made. I thought I was in an industry where I produce great work when needed based on my abilities and not in a dog eat dog world where I have to prove I can do more work, that I have to fetch, than the next. I dont have a problem working hard but if I knew I would be worked like a slave, micro managed and blamed I would not have joined USI.
