Pros
Reasonable work/life balance, very good and personable staff, and good investment in updating technology platforms and applciations. Improving HR processes that require completion of internal training certification in areas of code of conduct, security and confidentiality procedures, and performance management. Benefit offerings fairly good and provided at reasonable cost without substantial increase in employee cost the past several years. I recommend the company based more on its positive employee benefits, corporate values, and work life balance.
Cons
Lack of merit increases and fairly low bonus payments. Merit increases discontinued approximately 2009 and usually granted only upon promotion or extraordinary work performance. Difficult to actually earn even half of bonus target percentage. Feels that being seen socializing during work hours is looked upon unfavorably. Difficult to move up vertically due to lack of opportunities and working with limited staff. Performance management ratings seem rote and to have little actual impact on promotions and bonus payments. Decrease in client retention will impact company performance going forward and affect staffing and bonus program.
