Pros

I have been with UST for over 6 years, working as a Lead II – Cloud Infrastructure Service in the Big Data team. Overall, UST provides a positive and healthy work environment. The nature of work is good, with exposure to enterprise-level cloud and big data projects that offer strong learning opportunities. Support from seniors and managers is one of the biggest strengths of the organization. Leadership is generally approachable, and you can freely discuss your projects, career vision, and growth plans with senior members. Work–life balance is well maintained, even with a hybrid model (3 days a week office), which helps in long-term sustainability. The company culture encourages collaboration and continuous learning, making it a good place for professionals who want to build strong technical expertise.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for loyal employees who have been with the organization for more than 4 years. Career growth is steady but can feel slower compared to some peers in the industry. From a location perspective, project opportunities during bench periods are comparatively limited for the Kolkata location, while other locations like Trivandrum or Pune have more options. Strengthening delivery capacity and project inflow in Kolkata would be beneficial.
