Pros

none to think of at the moment

Cons

1. projects last for 3 months 2. after you will be put in bench for 3 months 3. after you will be asked to put down papers 4. serve notice period and get lost total stay of 6 months max.. pls do not call ur self management -- yesterday a team of 30 SAS professionals were asked to put down papers, with two months notice pay given to them . -- managers suck big time and it reflects everywhere you turn -- do not get distracted by ties and good decorations -- if you join this company you are gambling with your career -- mallu are in house :: beware 1)Mallu Politics, u will only get promotion, onsite etc etc if you are a mallu. If you are not mallu do not join this company save your career. 2)Location, if your project is cancelled or it is completed your next allocation would be in either trivandrum or kochi, if you are ok with compulsory relocation you can join this company. 3)No personal loans or home loans, if you apply for any form of loans you would be rejected or would be offered a higher rate of interest, because banks classify this place as a third grade shiiiiteee 4)Three person per cubicle, yes normally companys would have two persons per cubicle but in here becauswe of lack of space a extra guy would be squeezed in the middle making it three. no changing that no way. 5)Dress code, formal wear is ok. but cumpolsory ties come on. only sales agents nowadays wear ties. it is not 1960's ppl. and even the center head would start hitting you in the head if you do not wear it. 6)If your specialization is a rare technology then do not join. Projects would not last more than 3-4 months after that you would not have any projects to join 7)HR bench policy, . you get to be in bench for 45 days after you would be fired.you have to serve your notice period and get the hell out. 30 days for new joinees and 60 days for permanent emps. 8)confirmation - after you join the company there is this process of confirmation which should be completed by 6 months after date of joining. but it would take no less than 12 months to 24 months to get confirmed as a permanent employee. 9)Have a big dent in your profile. because you joined in this company. do not look for longitivity. the higher management just plays with employees and the funds they have which would result in loss of jobs. 10)the DNA of the company is not good as the company is made only for mallus and by mallus and of mallus it is a mallu democracy if you are not a mallu you are a minority and would be sidelined. racism at its best. All the mallus gang up together and would force all the work on non-mallus. even if a mallu is acting like spoiled brat they would not give a damn about it. 11)people would recognize wipro, CTS, TCS even Igate Patni nd emphais. but no body recognizes UST-Global even if they did they would enumerate the above points that I am talking about. 12)No forms of verification is carried out to ensure people have the skillset that they claim. many a people from hyderabad had completed mainframe informatica 30 days courses and joined with fake experience letters and are still working in the company as you read this. TCS does through verification but atleast UST should try bringing this stuff. ppl without any proper experience would not be able to deliver code and which would result in projects not getting delivered. These guys hire blindly like CTS. I joined this company, after just 3 months every body that I got to know put down their papers and left. not even one stands by. every single one left. so do not bother making friends. If you are a mallu pls go ahead and join. this is the place for you .you would feel at home and can get to do your politics with a jolly mood. if you are not a mallu steer clear of UST it is not the place to be. If you search in google you would get news like UST sponsors Chennai super kings in T20 tournament and news like UST sponsors F1 race cars etc. do not sell your self of that propoganda. this is just a measly attempt by UST to boost their brand value. which they dont have. The head of the company called "Sajan Pillai" he is a complete coo coo, dont beleive me take a look at his photo in google. In wikipedia it says that the company was founded by a american in america. but that is not true it is founded by a guy named GA menon in kerala. The total company strength is around 13, 000. But the history of employees hired is around 40, 000. the retention rate is just 30%. where as companies boast a retention rate of 70% and 80%. even ill fate infosys had much better retention rate. in May-June of 2014 they fired 1500 people(Mostly Mainframe and rare technologies) which is almost 10-15% of their workforce. because they were in bench more than 45 days. because higher management spent all their money in playing cricket with Chennai Super Kings. All they got was their name written on a corner in the teams jersy, . you cannot even see that in first glance some one has to point it out to notice their logo on the teams jersy. The organization structure in all the companies would be like below. Fresher Intermediate team-lead manager But in UST it is like below, each position you have to get a promotion(2 yrs in between) to move to the next(mind boggling). Software Developer Trainee Software Developer Sr Software Developer Systems Analyst Sr Systems Analyst Manager Only join if your are a mallu or if you are in a dire situation where you would have to leave your current organization in a hurry. Do not join if you had an alternative offer like I had. A Very Sad Place to work for. But the fixtures and decorations are well paid for and would look very good. but it is not a organization should possess. it is like one of those imported apples which look all red on the outside but has a brown decay on the inside. Worms and Maggots start falling off once you cut it.

Pros

The company is already shifting from services to products and platforms business, with the CEO driving the change directly. This transition is visible and is steep. The upside to this transformation is the company already creating meaningful opportunities for people to grow new skills and take on more strategic and value-added work. The key is to lean in and make full use of the resources available, including client universities, hack-a-thons, ideathons, and skill transformation programs, to stay ahead. For internal talent, the opportunities in product, platform development, and consulting are abundant, across both existing offerings and new solutions.

Cons

the organization is going through a painful transition unlike anything it has experienced in its 26-year history; while this change is necessary to win in the market, stronger support through the transition is an area where the company can improve and focus.
