I worked for USCC for 10 years and watched the company grow with market changes. Leaders were engaged in the process the entire time, and while mistakes and misteps happened, the company always sought to right itself with its employees rather than on the backs of its employees. The company believes strongly in building leadership from the front lines. They are always aware of the work-life balance issue and try to remain level headed about it. They adapt well to the changing economic times. Overall, they are committed to both the employee and the customer.
Cons
depending on the market you are in, advancement to upper level positions is slow. If you want to move faster up in the company, be prepared to need to relocate. While the company touts accountability, it at times needs to hold leaders more accountable to results. The stores in New England were often plagued by staffing issues that the talent acquisition department failed to resolve in a timely manner
