Meh - Psychiatric Technician UTHealth Houston Employee Review

Pros

Flexible scheduling for college students, and decent pay with alright benefits Most staff itself were great

Cons

Safety concerns, redundant procedure/policy that isn't followed, pick and choose when to dictate who's doing right/wrong Bad apples here and there that I did not like, and administration along with some unit managers felt suffocating. Could've had more concern when I'd been missing work (sick/car accident) and seemed nobody cared unless I was coming in or not. Favoritism all around if you knew the staffing department, or if you were friends with them.

Pros

Respect between colleagues and bosses

Cons

The pay is not very competitive, but it is only a student research assistant position and is more about the experience
