Pros

Benefit, Some enjoyable coworkers, great physical location, world's largest medical center, revolutionary research

Cons

Employees working for program for years were threatened by new knowledge, dept not friendly to new employees, fired after nearly two months, review completely inaccurate, no accountability to management, not allowed to be sick even if in the ER twice, no room to call outside departments for assistance, wanted me to make manuals for every part that my job entitled, not open to room or improvement, no open-door policy, seniority is more important than having the job done right, auditing was not tolerated even if your job needed it, no structure, on reason for firing due to not taking a lunch break during a normal lunch time but having to stay until 5 still for validations/duties - 4 PM was my lunch time but I was expected to stay past five to help with shipping with no lunch time and no additional compensation, leave was exhausted due to extreme illness and that was a written excuse when there was only one recorded leave time, no inventory management, no organization, no structure, much red tape to handle one task, no efficiency, no effectiveness, everything is a priority and even if you work by deadlines it is not acceptable, took nearly two months to receive full access to FMS, the main software needed to complete job tasks, finally received FMS access but still had to complete four more tracings to use the software with no time to complete it due to many RTA and reimbursement worksheets as a cause of much traveling by employees, program outdated, employees stuck in old ways, takes 20 emails, 3 phone calls and two face-to-face conversations to complete one task, many small problems that add to a frustrating work environment, little pay, no rewards, rude coworkers

Pros

Respect between colleagues and bosses

Cons

The pay is not very competitive, but it is only a student research assistant position and is more about the experience
