Pros

I did my doctoral degree at this school and continued to work as post-doc, the best part of this school is that I can have many research opportunities from institutions allied. MD Anderson, Baylor and Rice. UTHealth itself has a good set of faculties who are figures in their fields.

Cons

Administrative staffs do not (want to) understand matters related to international trainee. They rather leave it to the trainees to struggle by themselves. They will try their best to interrupt and hinder your career.

Great benefits and medical insurance coverage, very collaborative atmosphere with faculty inside and outside UTHealth, cutting-edge research.

Cons

No more job security for early career investigators due to recent budget constraints.
