Pros

Excellent benefits include free health insurance, a decent PTO/Sick time accrual rate, etc. It's a great working environment that strikes the right balance of being not too hands-off or micro-managing.

Cons

The salary could be better, but isn't terrible. Raises need to be more frequent and $500-1000 more each time they are given to keep up with other similar positions in the field and rising cost-of-living expenses. Plus, starting rates need to be higher. This is the number one reason I no longer work for UTHealth.
