Upper Management in IT/IS department lacks true leadership. The department I was in was more of a "this is how it's going to be" and even though they wanted input from employees, it was generally disregarded. During COVID, this was extremely apparent.
Promotional opportunities only favor those that are "in" with the management team.
More of a high school mentality in terms of management style. Rumors become truth in their eyes.

This company has its cliques and you will feel isolated if you don't blend in as expected. If you find yourself not quite fitting in, it is best to find another company to work for.
