Pros

Great for short term contracting positions. Hedge your bets.

Cons

CEO cuts the team as soon as a product ships and he has done this repeatedly. Trust the math not the reviews. Look at former employees and current employees on LinkedIn. Try restricting to US. Outside of a handful (maybe 10) all employees are within one year. Unlike any successful company, there is no top management which has grown with the company. Its a ruthless, soulless and unpleasant place to work. Dont get swayed by the top dollar, take your time, research the stats and ask around. In some regions the talent door for Ubiquiti is already closed because the reputation has spread. The long term results will show eventually. Over the last few years there have been numerous instances of products being launched finding traction and then fading away because the contractors(ahem! employees) who built it are gone.

Pros

* I get to see and test some pretty cool products, and help the developers refine and improve them * There are plenty of opportunities to learn and improve your skills * The pay and benefits are fantastic * I get to work with some brilliant people, both on my team and in other departments * It's incredibly satisfying to find an issue and see it fixed

Cons

* Priorities can shift quickly, so be prepared to be flexible * Occasionally it can seem like our results for product testing are brushed off by the developers * The management structure is very flat, so upward movement is difficult * Did I mention that priorities shift quickly? We test dozens of products, and we are expected to produce results very quickly * The job is technically hybrid, but because most of the products we test are hardware, it can be difficult to work from home

Pros

- Startup mentality (lots of independent, meaningful work) - Take your own initiative (need to be proactive with tasks) - Good for expanding knowledge (get to work on several different product lines) - Flexibility (able to build your own hours, work when you need to, to get tasks done) - Benefits and Pay (amazing pay and benefits from the employer, would not trade it for anything)

Cons

- Face-paced environment (tasks can change on the daily, it's challenging but rewarding) - Working overtime (might be asked to work outside of normal hours - help finish urgent tasks) Overall, I think if you are looking for a challenge this is the perfect job for you. You are able to push yourself and learn a lot about the world of technology (networking, cyber-security, surveillance, etc.) So many different and unique products that Ubiquiti produces.
