Pros

- Lunch everyday - Awesome health care benefits - Ability to work remotely - Because they are so lean, you will likely work on high-impact projects. - Company makes good products (even if they release way before they are ready) - There is a formula for continued success as a company at Ubiquiti - lean, lean, lean, good products

Cons

- Complete lack of corporate structure leads to chaos. No one knows what they are supposed to be working on, they just try to pick what they think they should be doing and hope that was the right answer (it had better be) - You will be held accountable for other people's mistakes, and do work that is completely out of your job description - Robert has his favorites, and if that does not include you or your manager, your life will be miserable - No respect for your personal life/time. Get a message from RJP at 10PM or on the weekend? That's working time - Company really prides itself on being lean, but really they are just understaffed. I have never seen such a profitable company be so stingy (don't expect nice raises or bonuses just because you are working for one of the wealthiest persons in the US) - No good/moral cause for Ubiquiti. "Connecting everyone, everywhere" is a nice thought, but not really practiced. Robert just wants to be the next Cisco and to be seen as a Bezos-like disruptor. I could go on, but I'm going to save my time. Basically, everyone is constantly stressed about their job security and which direction RJP will direct his anger next. As a result, everyone just ends up trying to point blame at others and it becomes a huge CYA mess.

Pros

* I get to see and test some pretty cool products, and help the developers refine and improve them * There are plenty of opportunities to learn and improve your skills * The pay and benefits are fantastic * I get to work with some brilliant people, both on my team and in other departments * It's incredibly satisfying to find an issue and see it fixed

Cons

* Priorities can shift quickly, so be prepared to be flexible * Occasionally it can seem like our results for product testing are brushed off by the developers * The management structure is very flat, so upward movement is difficult * Did I mention that priorities shift quickly? We test dozens of products, and we are expected to produce results very quickly * The job is technically hybrid, but because most of the products we test are hardware, it can be difficult to work from home

Pros

- Startup mentality (lots of independent, meaningful work) - Take your own initiative (need to be proactive with tasks) - Good for expanding knowledge (get to work on several different product lines) - Flexibility (able to build your own hours, work when you need to, to get tasks done) - Benefits and Pay (amazing pay and benefits from the employer, would not trade it for anything)

Cons

- Face-paced environment (tasks can change on the daily, it's challenging but rewarding) - Working overtime (might be asked to work outside of normal hours - help finish urgent tasks) Overall, I think if you are looking for a challenge this is the perfect job for you. You are able to push yourself and learn a lot about the world of technology (networking, cyber-security, surveillance, etc.) So many different and unique products that Ubiquiti produces.
