Pros

Discount on products and salon services, broad range of price points. Customers really love the store and are excited by the products.

Cons

We were expected to have a pushy sales attitude. I felt bad trying to rope in people to things they clearly didn't want just so my manager could get her bonus. (Yes, she spent the majority of her time in the office in the back.) I was encouraged to lie to customers about what I was wearing - my lashes are quite long so I was using a drugstore brand mascara, which we sold, but when someone asked me what I was wearing, my manager told me I should have lied and said it was a prestige brand. Our training was poor because we were in a rush to get ready for grand opening, so I was pretty lost when I had to recommend a hair product (I was better at cosmetics and fragrance). Because we were understaffed (at times only one manager, one salesperson, and one stylist working in a huge location) our store was filthy in areas that you didn't have to look hard to see. On that note, if you have to stock the shelves, the nature of the products make it a nightmare. So many tiny eyeliners whose names/skus you can barely read... Overall, your mileage may vary depending on your location. I'd recommend visiting the store as a shopper to get a feel of what the culture is like.

Pros

Gratis There are good hard working people that want to do well. I am still there (barely) because I haven’t completely given up that things will be handled/addressed correctly for those not aligned with company vision and expectations. However after 5 years of inaction it’s hard to believe that positive change will actually and maybe just maybe Myself and others that are dedicatedI will be recognized vs taken for granted.

Cons

No furthering development Keep toxic (leaders especially) allowing unacceptable behavior conduct and violation of company code Communication is very poor…it’s inconsistent,For example managers are not provided with direct email accounts so it’s a community email box. This causes a large amount of information to be read by the wrong audience and is not communicated if read by the wrong leader
