Pros

You get a decent discount on everything in the store. Most of the people you work with are very nice. You learn a lot about a lot of different product lines and cosmetics. They do provide continued education. If you work in the salon, you get free services.

Cons

Their rules are ridiculous. If you clock in wrong three times, you get written up. If you want to trade shifts with another employee, even if it's on the same day, you will both be charged with an absence. They tax your cash tips. The base pay is just above minimum wage. Even if you have a full book and could work seven days a week, nine hours a day, they will still only schedule you for twenty hours or less a week to avoid paying you any benefits. The scheduling is erratic and has no consistency whatsoever. The general manager talks bad about everyone behind their back, but this might just be store specific.

Pros

Great discount Gratis is good but having worked for Sephora as well, theirs is way better. Fun customers most of the time

Cons

Glorified babysitter when your team is incompetent Store can quickly become a wreck when one manager isn’t pulling their weight Too many hats in this role and way too overbearing. I thought I’d need to see a neurologist for migraines but it turns out I was just way too stressed in my role. ai. And a big push for more and more ai in the future.
