Pros
Discount. That is it. There is nothing good about working at Ulta. It it not what it’s made out to be.
Cons
All they do is “Cut” people. Pay sucks. Expect too much from employees. They will “Cut” your hours and not call you. When you arrive , try to clock in, get rejected... then ask why your punch did not work... they will swear they called you. You can show them clear as day that they didn’t and they will look at you confused. Lol!! Then ask them if they have the crorrect number on file, have them call you... your phone rings. Clearly they didn’t bother to call you after you woke up, showered, did your makeup, and drove to the store (Using up all the gas in your car) , and arrived on time. Oh, DO NOT expect AN APOLOGY FOR THEIR SCREW UP.. They are inconsiderate, inconsistent, and unreliable. You’ll be lucky if you make $30 a week. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism in a workplace before. I only applied here to make quick Summer cash. But I doubt I’ll even touch $1,000 at this point. All Ulta cares about is how much $ you make them. They want you to shove loyalty and credit down customers throats. You’ll be the favorite if you get lots of credit cards. The majority of customers that visit already have credit cards and loyalty accounts. The other ones just don’t want one. They make schedules based off of how many credit cards and loyalty you get too!! Truck in inconsistent as well. You never know how many pallets will arrive. Sometimes 2 sometimes 10. They work you like a slave on truck day and you get paid pennies. They rush you the whole time too because there is certain “time standards” that have to be met. Management just looks at you and rushes you when your obviously trying. Honestly this job is by far the worst that I have ever had.
