The title is okay depending on age and lifestyle. More suited for anyone in high-school or college part time. Also, anyone looking to get their foot in the beauty industry. I was advised by several people to apply elsewhere first. - Cashier/Task Associate Ulta Beauty Employee Review

Pros

If you know about their products, use them, and like telling other people about them its great. I like giving people the option to choose and what's best for them and their price range. I like selling quality items no matter the price as long as it is worth it. I like my team a lot as people coworkers it's another story. Gratis, the selection is that great, but if it's free it's me! It's my part time job so having the evening hours are great.

Cons

Don't do it and take heed. There is a lot of cattiness, in professionalism, and lying. The hours are inconsistent and coming from a sales background in the beauty industry here they underpay you and there isn't enough time to get everything done, ever. The beauty industry is a multibillion dollar industry so more money can go to employees. No benefits unless you're management. Oh, the owner is one of the richest American women with her company being a top 5 stock option but pays her employees pennies with minimal hours that are often cut. Understaffed. Sometimes some of the managers decide to have social hours in the back office with people that are supposed to be driving sales for hours, rather than working.

Pros

Great discount Gratis is good but having worked for Sephora as well, theirs is way better. Fun customers most of the time

Cons

Glorified babysitter when your team is incompetent Store can quickly become a wreck when one manager isn’t pulling their weight Too many hats in this role and way too overbearing. I thought I’d need to see a neurologist for migraines but it turns out I was just way too stressed in my role. ai. And a big push for more and more ai in the future.
