Pros

They allow a lot of flexibility with hours. You communicate your availability, and they base your schedule off of that. There is also the option to both pick up extra shifts/offer scheduled shifts when you need one covered. This is great for when you are sick, have an emergency, or just need a day off! The company does offer gratis (free products) monthly in exchange for watching weekly training videos. We also have the generous 25% associate discount and 50% off services, and sometimes they’ll stack additional discounts on popular brands. However, we cannot pay our bills with gratis, so considering the workload, the pay is not necessarily worth it to me. This job is great for young people interested in the beauty industry, students, etc., but if you are an adult with responsibilities, it is hard to make a living with these kind of wages at part time hours.

Cons

The workload does not match the compensation. They expect a lot from their associates. We are responsible for pushing the overall sales of the store, but we do not reap the benefits as we don’t earn commission or regular bonuses. Considering that the workload, the pay is not necessarily worth it to me. This job is great for young people interested in the beauty industry, students, etc., but if you are an adult with responsibilities, it is hard to make a living with these kind of wages at part time hours.

Pros

Great discount Gratis is good but having worked for Sephora as well, theirs is way better. Fun customers most of the time

Cons

Glorified babysitter when your team is incompetent Store can quickly become a wreck when one manager isn’t pulling their weight Too many hats in this role and way too overbearing. I thought I’d need to see a neurologist for migraines but it turns out I was just way too stressed in my role. ai. And a big push for more and more ai in the future.
