Pros

-25% off discount (sometimes 30% for a week during holiday season) -Discount on salon services -Gifts With Purchases are also available to employees -Clientele not as knowledgeable compared to department stores. Easier to have larger sales. -Return policy extremely strict (might be a Con for clients). -Brand representatives are extremely generous with gratis.

Cons

-Only managers get the holiday/yearly sales bonus. -Was "promoted" after three months, but never saw the promised pay increase. Pressed the issue further, and there was no record of it. -Had a family emergency and left early one day. Left a message for manager next day saying I would be out-of-state, and she calls me while my father is in surgery asking when I would be back to work. NO WORK/LIFE/BALANCE -Management didn't inform employees about PTO expiring at the end of the year. PTO doesn't roll-over to the next year. -I was the only full timer, besides the Prestige Manager, and they cut my hours down to 20 hours for three consecutive weeks. Promptly quit.

Pros

Great discount Gratis is good but having worked for Sephora as well, theirs is way better. Fun customers most of the time

Cons

Glorified babysitter when your team is incompetent Store can quickly become a wreck when one manager isn’t pulling their weight Too many hats in this role and way too overbearing. I thought I’d need to see a neurologist for migraines but it turns out I was just way too stressed in my role. ai. And a big push for more and more ai in the future.
