Pros

Very employee focused. They strive to provide the best work / life balance they can with an atmosphere that promotes not only growth within the business, but also gives you the opportunity to breath and step away from the daily hustle. They have numerous employee incentives from cash rewards to an entire week dedicated to showing appreciation for their employees. They allow a hybrid schedule and will work with you to accommodate any issues that may arise if you talk to them about it. The management listens and is approachable and knowledgeable and happy to help you understand your roll and how to improve.

Cons

The employee training isn't at its best. There is room for improvement on the onboarding process for those new to the Insurance Industry, or to the carrier side of it.

The underwriting role here is definitely challenging and fast-paced, but it’s rewarding if you enjoy problem-solving and handling complex cases. It’s an intellectually stimulating environment where you’re constantly learning and adapting, which keeps the workday interesting. The team is generally supportive, and there's a good mix of independent work and collaboration. The opportunities to grow professionally are abundant, and the company offers plenty of resources to help improve your skill set.

Cons

The role can be difficult, particularly due to the frequent changes in our systems and processes. These shifts have added some complexity to the day-to-day responsibilities, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. There’s a steep learning curve, especially for those new to underwriting or transitioning into the role.
