Interviewed with this company several times and was hired on as a Senior Account Executive. Process was very normal with all the expected paperwork. One day before I was to start work they requested I sign a non-compete agreement. On my first day I said I needed to have my sister, who is an attorney, look it over and needed a couple of more days. This seemed to be okay with management.
After the first day of work and training was complete and I was at home they called me and fired me. Reason, I was not engaged enough during the training. I did not ask enough questions. I was very engaged and asked several questions. Needless to say, this was quite a surprise. I think it is much more likely that they fired me after only one day because I did not sign the non-compete they sprung on me at the last minute.
