Pros

Fast-paced environment that provides strong exposure to real e-commerce marketing operations. Hands-on access to data tools such as Business Advisor and Brand Data Engine. Supportive team members who offer guidance and allow interns to take ownership. Opportunities to work directly on campaigns (e.g., 618) and see real-time results. Strong learning curve in traffic analysis, audience segmentation, and paid media optimization.

Cons

Very fast-paced workload that can feel overwhelming during peak campaign periods. Cross-team communication can be slow at times due to large organizational structure. Limited visibility into long-term strategy for interns since most tasks focus on short-term deliverables. Some processes are highly dependent on external agencies, which may reduce flexibility. Work hours can be long during major sales events.

Pros

Hard to find any pros now... nice new office with a view, Good products. Company store. Good stamp on the resume (I guess).

Cons

UL has lost its way. Used to be an exceptional company when it fundamentally was ethical, environmental and prioritized Customer and employee service. Its now clear that the company is being milked by the board for money. Layoffs, sketchy financial activity, disconnected leadership structures with no feedback loops. Office politics are rampant and you cant get promoted, UL creates their own "glass ceiling" to limit promotions. Multiple divestitures over the past years.
