The administration (at least in the humanities department allows you a lot of leeways and does not interfere with your ability to teach and assess students.

Cons

There was a case where I lost a position last minute due to enrollment being down and no one bothered to so much as emailing me.

Leadership was overbearing, but also didn't let it be known when there was an issue. Would let other people know instead of coming to you.
