Pros

Starting wage $10 plus shift differentials, hires full-time pretty often, benefits start soon after full-time status, overtime often available. Nonprofit, so qualifies for public service student loan forgiveness. I would have stayed indefinitely if it payed better.

Cons

Lifting, walking, pushing, repetitive movements. Always short-staffed, always want you to do more and do it faster. Communication between management and shifts could be better. Hires LGBTQ and POC, some tattoos and piercings fine.

Pros

Amazing teamwork, truly caring staff with big hearts who love what they do and want to help the patients/other staff members. Genuinely kind people working here!!

Cons

Be cautious if you have to deal with management. Try to get everything in writing and make sure that you are in agreement with your schedule before accepting, as they will not work with you on changing it after that, even if you are helping out and picking up someone else’s previous schedule. Just know that the usual politics apply when working here as a traveler and try to stay neutral. I have observed that ones reputation can be easily damaged if there is a disagreement, even if you try to be helpful, kind, have good attendance, and leave on good standing. Apparently patient care does not appear to come first here, it’s whether or not you can agree with the management.
