Pros

UP used to be a great company and has a neat history that impacted the economic prominence of the U.S. in the world.

Cons

UP treats its employees poorly and has adopted most every immoral practice of the woke age. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you choose to work elsewhere. If you are a white male, you will be discriminated against in order to meet the PUBLISHED gender and diversity goals. If you are of Asian descent, sorry, you don’t count as a minority at UP. UP is intentionally limiting relationships with Asian owned firms in favor of their preferred minority owned firms. Pay? Average to low depending on your role. Non-agreement will receive a “merit increase” each year, an intentionally deceptive “raise” that on average simply keeps up with inflation. For 2021, nearly all employees will receive a “merit increase” that is less than inflation meaning you will be losing money. In 2021, there was a string of 5 senior level firings of white men (and one white woman), 100% of which were filled by diversity picks. Employees are encouraged to violate 3000+ years of Judeo-Christian values and support the LGBT movement. They are encouraged to put their pronouns in their bios. Stating the obvious biological fact on PRIVATE social media that men cannot be women could result in firing per company policy. DO NOT WORK HERE. If you ualready work here, leave so that you will not be complicit in the actions of this evil company.
