Pros
Union as a product is innovative and well-aligned for certain parts of the bar industry. The people at Union are extremely hard-working.
Cons
Where to begin. As a rep at Union for multiple years, I can say I've seen it all. The one common denominator in everything is the CEO. He has created such a toxic environment that there is no trust or loyalty within the sales org. The churn of sales leaders and reps is unbelievable. You are constantly held to numbers that feel as if they are pulled out of thin air with nothing substantial to back them up. It is a culture built on fear that comes straight from the top. The constant micro-managing, unattainable/unrealistic sales goals, and daily rep meetings explaining over and over how you are going to hit your monthly target wear people down. The product is great for certain aspects of the bar industry, but there is still a big disconnect between what leadership thinks/expects and what actually happens in the field in bars. Trying to explain that repeatedly to leadership was like beating a dead horse. There was little to no acceptance that the sales cycle is more drawn out just because of the nature of the bar industry. Lastly, the lack of follow through bringing in BDR assistance and empty promises of promotions really put the nail in the coffin. Sales reps can only tolerate so much. Union has lost a lot of really good people because of it.
