Pros

Salary I met a few co-workers that I will maintain contact with

Cons

Poor management (on every level) Until recently, majority of managers were White women with little education Black or Hispanic women with more education and qualifications were not hired or overlooked for promotions. This is on a consistent basis. One Top Director told an RN, MSN that "a master's degree is not needed for this position" during her interview and she was basically dismissed. Management seems threatened by anyone that has more experience/education FB Friends or childhood friends are the group consistently being promoted There is a "pick and choose" culture that is very racially biased There are a lot of back room politics Biased against those that have illnesses and/or disabilities Many of the white managers are bullies (they travel in a pack)

Pros

Extremely good team culture. Everyone is helpful and forthcoming. Focused on patient care. Flexible time off. Fully remote and cameras off. Defined process for the most important processes. Amazing how so many people have been with UBC for 10+ years.

Cons

Potential to overwork oneself with back to back to back meetings and heavy client workload.

Pros

It’s just a paycheck until you get on your feet.

Cons

HR is NOT your Friend‼️ Micromanagement Always Changing Abuse of Power Biased You’ll stay in your current role for years without a promotion. UBC proves that Women of Color does have to work 5x harder to be recognized. They offer yearly bonuses but you’ll never see it because every year they’ll come up with some excuse. You’re yearly raises will never be over or near 50 cent so you’ll stay in the same dollar amount for at least three/four years. I’d you try to transfer to another program they’ll write you up and keep you in the same position and program. EEOC ASAP
