Pros
The parents are great and that definitely helps.
Cons
Apparently the Coppell campus is much different than the Irving based on reviews. The admin is far more concerned with their "supposed" image (they absolutely give false stats) than anything else. And yes, will quickly throw you under the bus. The kids have 15min recess each day- including PreK- which doesn't meet the state standards of physical activity weekly. There's no counselor, and 2 sped teachers (for prek-12th) the "hierarchy" goes your cohort and then the principle. (No asst, nothing) they love to remind you that you have an at risk contract and have no problem letting you know publicly how you're failing. (Despite there's no assistance, training is as you go/screw up, and alot of contradictions). Its impossible to even come close to only working your contract hours, there's a parents night each month, you're required to pull 12hr shift, then a monthly staff meeting, then 2 weekly grade meetings DURING your 45 min lesson planning period. Lastly, they are so understaffed that they have TAs working as teachers f/t in classroom, ESL teachers are in rooms, and permanent subs are a real thing. Its pretty toxic.
