Pros

The work is very cool and challenging. The people are talented. There is huge potential to take on responsibility and run with things. You can learn a lot if you are willing to do the leg work. The benefits are really great.

Cons

The organization as a whole grew so quickly in the last few years, so you can feel the growing pains and see the disorganization that comes from growing from a scrappy group of a few hundred to a couple thousand. There aren't enough people at Creative who have experience building theme parks. In some cases, many people haven't ever built anything. It was draining to be figuring everything out (and making many mistakes) as we went along. There were also unreasonable expectations from leadership for budgets, schedules, and scope. This caused stress and constant re-work. Also, the work environment was terrible. Super dark and very cramped. The kitchens were too tiny and they never opened the windows for fear of outsiders taking photos of the work in progress. The security methods implemented also made it impossible to be on time for any meetings due to the horrible mouse maze of cubicles with very few entry/exit points to the buildings. There was not enough space to properly collaborate either, not enough breakout rooms or simple areas to sit and workout an idea.

Pros

Competitive pay with strong earning potential. Excellent 401(k) plan and overall benefits package. Clear and straightforward point-based attendance policy. Comprehensive employee benefits that compare favorably within the industry.

Cons

The role places a stronger emphasis on service than sales, despite sales performance being an important part of the job. Internal systems can also experience frequent technical issues that affect efficiency. The two biggest drawbacks are the quality assurance process and skill progression. Quality assurance metrics can feel overly rigid, with significant emphasis placed on specific phrasing and required talking points, even during simple customer interactions. This can make conversations feel less natural. Performance evaluations may also vary depending on the reviewer, leading to some inconsistency in scoring. As employees gain additional skills, such as handling vacation packages and room-only reservations, scheduling flexibility may decrease due to business needs. Opportunities for preferred schedules or early releases can become more limited. Additionally, skill-based call routing may result in periods where agents handle only room-only calls, which do not offer the same commission or incentive opportunities as sales calls.
