Pros
Great people in the trenches. Some leaders are truly invested in making their team successful and positively engage with their crew. It's an amazingly rewarding feeling to see a student through to graduation. People want to help.
Cons
The 70 million invested from an outside company has not been used wisely. Executive leadership has panicked and consumed enormous amounts of time with meetings due to McKinsey group coming in. Core values have been removed. The biggest hit of all is TRUST. while it's true that the regulatory environment has put an enormous strains on most of the school, upper management has taken advantage of that change by micromanaging the hell out of every single task of the day. Many employees have to account for every moment they are on campus. so much to the point that if they are seen talking in the hallways with a colleague or doing something outside of their job, then they are seen as wasting company time and resources. Many executive leaders will say they care about you and then throw you to the wolves to save themselves. It's a common thing across the nation at UTI. Leadership also leans on the fact that they were able to get the job done and be very successful when they were in your role. However, the last time they actually did the job was before 2011 at best. Much has changed about the industry since then.
