Pros

Before Ed Reg changed they offered great opportunity for financial growth. The training facility is outstanding and you can be confident that you are offering students who truly want it a great opportunity for a career in the auto/diesel/boating/motorcycle repair industry.

Cons

You'll have no work/life balance. Mostly because you are working constantly... and just when you think you have a break its "open house" so your weekends are not truly yours... In my beginning it was fine and fun because we had a leader who made sure the atmosphere was a fun place to work. Laughter in the hallway was not a cause for write ups. This team leader understood how working phones and stress over quotas can bring down the moral so this person continued to allow the team to be involved and take ownership of their goals but also the team as a whole... We all felt responsible... thus we made sure people who entered our department knew we cared knew we were people just like them and knew they had someone rooting for them. Likewise as team members we looked after each other. We cared and we did what we could to lift loads off of anyone who needed the help. All it took was two people who didn't "like" the good leader and so they fired the leader who was doing an outstanding job...and it has been down hill ever since the turnover is crazy the atmosphere changed drastically and the job is not the same. Suddenly there were RIFTS and constant complaint of not enough money coming in. They also change operations every year it seems and this is bad for morale.... just when you master the new concepts and operations they stop it and its always in a "knee jerk" manner. That was made it too unstable an environment to really feel secure in mastering your work. Employee reviews are basically subjective. The poor manager that took over was very bad and although would give nice words would often find something unrelated and totally irrelevant to your job to through into your review in order to bring your points down a notch or too... So it will see you are "jumping through hoops" to meet standards that don't really exist and you will learn that when you get to the review the criteria you were asked to work on in the last review is not a factor in the new review. Lastly, unless you are in with the who's who you are not progressing or going anywhere... and yes you can get along with and know everyone there and since you practically live there will come to believe they really care and are your family... but when it is all said and done you mean nothing more than your last months quotas... yes I say quotas because they still make your job security about your quotas...so read the fine print... ED REG said one thing about no quotas and THEY will tell you they are not using that method but they are. OH and you will not have a voice... of course they say you do but you do not. You just have to agree even when you don't... in order to feel you have job security.

Pros

The interview, where things are positive and promising,

Cons

Be prepared to work 24/7, Manager calls on evenings to jump on a teams call, calls on weekends regularly to micromanage calls etc. Management is a overbearing, micro-manager with a massive ego problem. Just because we share a military background does not mean we will tolerate such poor behavior. Over 10 HR complaints against this man, he continues to be protected, supported and defended by upper Management. Micromanagement on all levels. 2 hour (unnecessary) team meetings which is his time to hear himself talk. Brings his wife to work and on work lunches despite several complaints about this. Wife thinks everyone wants to have a relationship with him, Sis, we are trying to figure out WHY you are. Hard pass on this position and this company.
