Pros
You can get reduced tuition for yourself or family after a year. Good health insurance.
Cons
Consistently pushed to work more than 40 hours when salaried. Most people buy into working more hours (60-80), subsequently most of your co-workers are miserable. Can not take advantage of the education benefit because you are too busy working. Management thinks they are an aristocracy. Management is more interested in making sure you are under your thumb than getting a job done. Complaining to larger HR comes back to bite the employee. There is no parking. You have to pay for a parking permit. Even though the pay is not enough to survive on in Rochester and you still have to get a second job, the employee is expected to make UofR the top priority in their life. No work life balance here.
